NASA satellites to use artificial intelligence. Software that can make decisions
without guidance from humans will guide a

constellation of spacecraft that launch in 2002, according to NASA. The concept
of Artificial Intelligence is crearly exemplified in this article where a
NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory team is building AI into the onboard software
of three satellites.

This article demonstrates how artificial intelligence is being used to create
original paintings, poems, and stories. There exists a program, AARON, which
is able to provide you an infinite series of original pieces of art. Moreover,
there's a project being
-
worked on that will be able to generate unique short fiction stories of up
to 500 words. This new and sophisticated artificial technology perfoms fine
artwork which reveals the level of creativess that computers are attaining.

This is related to our reading in that softbots are a specific direction
that some of the AI developers have taken. It is in my opinion one of the
most promising since it takes an expert system and places it in a controllable
environment.

This article is about new operating system, due out this fall, will let marketers
deliver targeted advertisements to consumers based on the shows they watch
while maintaining consumers' privacy. The technology uses artificial
intelligence, not personally identifiable information, to determine someone's
tastes and the kinds of ads that person might want to see. This article shows
us where and how the artificial intelligence can be used and is directly
related to chapter 7.

The following is an article about a professor who is creating a doctoral
program relating to chess and artificial intelligence. The goal is to develop
machines to eventually have the power of the most intelligent human mind.

Here is an article that explains how some companies are using artificial
intelligence to screen resumes and to predict how long a person will stay
on the job. It also claims such companies as Microsoft, Sun Microsystems
and SW Airlines are currently using it.

This is a link to a page where you can undergo a diagnostic. It can check
for different ailments that an individual has. I think it is kind of weird
that u can do this online rather than visiting a personal Doctor. Well it
just goes to show that we now have a computerized workplace, where individuals
don't have to be in a doctors office to get diagnosed. U can try it out.
I didn't try it cause there is a fee, but I think u can. It looks very cool.
